“The Pursuit of Happiness: Life & Career Seminar” delivered by Dr. Ken Harmon, Professor of Accounting, Kennesaw State University & More Happiness Resources
“The Pursuit of Happiness: Life & Career Seminar” delivered by Dr. Ken Harmon, Professor of Accounting, Kennesaw State University to KSU 4401: Senior Seminar Students
Dr. Ken Harmon, presented his seminar to the college seniors in KSU 4401: Senior Seminar. The seminar is “The Pursuit of Happiness: Life & Career.” Developed from his Kennesaw State University Commencement Address (July 2009) and his academic work in “Managing Happiness”, Dr. Ken Harmon has created an inspirational seminar for graduating seniors assisting them in reflecting and including the decision to incorporate happiness in their daily lives and in the lives of others. By asking the questions of how did you chose your academic major? What makes you happy? What does not make you happy? Where do you want to be in ten years? Dr. Ken Harmon leads a spectacular discussion with the seniors. Leaving them with the challenge of saying thank you to the people that come into you life each day. He encourages to the seniors to “drop” the statement “I will be happy when…” and chose to be happy. We need more discussions with our college students on embracing “The Pursuit of Happiness: Life & Career”. Dr. Ken Harmon visited our classes on February 16, 2010, March 13, 2012 and October 18, 2013. Thank you to Angie Conti, Assistant to the Provost, Kennesaw State University, who makes this inspiring seminar possible.
We need more discussions with our college students as part of their education in higher education, preparing them for citizenship from local to global.
Thank-you Dr. Ken Harmon!
Thanks,
Dr. Joanie Leichter Dominick
